Congratulations to all abstract and invited faculty presenters who will be presenting at the SAGES 2016 Annual Meeting. The meeting will be held March 16-19, 2016 in Boston, MA.
Below are all the relevant information pertaining to all types of presentations. Please note all deadlines. All instructions apply to all Scientific Session and Emerging Technology Session presentations, unless otherwise noted.

Disclosure Required: All presenters will be required to include a disclosure slide to be shown in the beginning of their presentation. In addition to the disclosure slide, presenters are asked use generic and objective terms when referring to both devices and/or proprietary technology throughout their presentations. You may use the following sample disclosure slide for your presentation:
Speaker Ready Room Check-In REQUIRED:
You MUST check in with the Speaker Ready Room (Room 300) AT LEAST 2 HOURS BEFORE your session starts. If you do not visit the Speaker Ready Room, your session moderator may not allow you to present.

Tuesday, March 15: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Wednesday, March 16: 5:30 am – 5:30 pm
Thursday, March 17: 5:30 am – 5:30 pm

Manuscript Submission Required (Scientific Session ORAL PRESENTATIONS Only)
All Scientific Session podium oral presenters are required to submit a completed manuscript to the journal Surgical Endoscopy. All manuscripts must be posted online by end of day of Wednesday, March 16, 2016. FAILURE TO SUBMIT A MANUSCRIPT BY WEDNESDAY, MARCH 16, 2016 WILL FORFEIT THE PRESENTING AUTHOR, 1st AUTHOR AND SENIOR AUTHOR’S PRIVILEGE TO SUBMIT A SCIENTIFIC ABSTRACT FOR THE SAGES 2017 and 2018 MEETINGS.

POSTER PRESENTERS (Scientific Session and Emerging Technology Session)
Digital Poster Submission Required: All poster presenters are required to submit a digital poster by FRIDAY, MARCH 4, 2016. The goal of the digital poster is to have a digital version that looks exactly like the physical poster that will be displayed at the meeting. Failure to submit a digital poster may result in the Presenter, 1st Author AND/OR Senior Author being banned from submitting any abstract(s) to future meetings.
Digital Poster Instructions: Please see your presentation confirmation email for details about your poster presentation. The following is a summary of the instructions:
- All digital posters must be submitted online via the customized linked that has been emailed to all poster presenters. No digital poster submissions will be accepted via email.
- All digital poster submissions must be saved as a JPEG image file. The digital poster upload site will only accept JPEG image files.
- Digital posters must not contain any audio, video or moving images.
- Image files must be saved at 72 dpi.
- Presenters may use PowerPoint, Acrobat, or any other program to create.
Digital Poster Template: You may use any program to create your digital poster but we encourage you to create your poster as a single 48″ x 48″ PowerPoint slide and then export it from PowerPoint to JPG. If you are using PowerPoint 2010 or PowerPoint 2013, you will not need to set the DPI. If you are using another version of PowerPoint or another program to create the slide, make sure your slide is roughly 3000 pixels x 3000 pixels @ 72 DPI. Your poster should end up as a 1 to 3 megabyte image file.
The provided template that follows will allow you to create your digital poster and physical poster design with one template.
Physical Poster Setup Required: All poster presenters are required to set up a physical poster for display at the meeting. Failure to set up a physical poster may result in the Presenter, 1st Author AND/OR Senior Author being banned from submitting any abstract(s) to future meetings.
Physical Poster Size: Poster boards will be set up for each poster. The poster boards will be 4 feet wide by 4 feet high. All poster print outs cannot be bigger than the poster boards. Push pins will be provided for setting up your poster.

Please note that there is not a required time Poster Presenters must stand by their posters. We do however, strongly encourage all poster presenters to stand by their posters during the set breaks.
