Tour #1: The Central West End:The New Cathedral, Forest Park, Art Museum

Includes: The New Cathedral, Central West End, Forest Park overview and the St. Louis Art Museum.

Stop at the breathtaking the St. Louis Cathedral, home to the largest collection of mosaics in the world.
Next we visit the historic Central West End neighborhood, one of the most fashionable areas of the city and then past the mansions on Forest Park, examples of the Golden Age of St. Louis.
Forest Park was the site of the 1904 World's Fair and the third largest city park in the country. We'll see it's highlights, which includes the Saint Louis Art Museum. A special feature is our entrance to the Van Gogh exhibit at it's only North American stop. A guided introductory tour highlights the museum's gems.
Tour # 2: A Day In Forest Park

Includes: The Art Museum and the Van Gogh exhibit, the History Museum at the Jefferson Memorial

Forest Park houses the world renowned St. Louis Zoo, the St. Louis Art Museum, the Science Center, the newly expanded History Museum and the Muny - the largest outdoor theater in the country.
Our first stop is the St. Louis Art Museum where we will have time to enjoy the Van Gogh exhibit; in it's only North American appearance. Then browse through the Egyptian Mummy, the Period Rooms or the Impressionists.
Next, visit the newly renovated and expanded History Museum. Overhead, the Spirit of St. Louis replica is suspended from the two-story ceiling. Sweeping 60' across the slate floor is a River Mosaic, symbolizing the rivers of St. Louis. The Special Exhibit Gallery, will feature Reflecting on American Indian Objects, showcasing the Missouri Historical Society's extensive Native American artifact collection. Enjoy a seated lunch at Meriwether's, the park's newest dining experience.
Tour # 3: Missouri Botanical Garden and Historic Neighborhoods
Date/Time: Thursday, April 19, 2001, 10:00am to 3:00pm
Includes: Missouri Botanical Garden, Compton Heights, Soulard, Lunch at Lynch Street Bistro, the Brewery District, Lafayette Square, Private Home tour, and Anheuser Busch Brewery Tour.

Spring is in bloom at the Missouri Botanical Garden! The oldest botanical garden in the country and National Historic Landmark, the Garden has been internationally recognized for horticulture since it's founding in 1859. It is truly a St. Louis treasure!
A guided tram tour will wind its way through the 79 acres of flora. Visit the Climatron, a geodesic dome greenhouse and the 14-acre Japanese Garden, considered one of the finest outside Japan. Explore the English Forest, the rose garden, or visit the leaping fountain.
Next, see three historic neighborhoods. The German Beer Barons developed Compton Heights in the late nineteenth century. Lafayette Square features renovated Victorian mansions Here you will tour a private residence. Soulard is a delightful old neighborhood, which boasts the oldest continuous farmer's market west of the Mississippi River. Next is a lovely lunch at Lynch Street Bistro.
After lunch we will view the stables at the Anheuser-Busch Brewery Complex with 70 red brick buildings on 100 acres.
Tour # 4: Historic St. Charles, Missouri - The First State Capital
Date/Time: Friday, April 20, 2001, 9:00am to 2:00pm
Includes: First State Capitol, seated lunch & shopping on Main St.
Fee: $46.00 per person
Visit St. Charles, the oldest town on the Missouri River. Founded by French Canadians, St. Charles has carefully preserved its heritage as a river town since 1769.
Tour the First State Capitol dating to 1820. Several rooms have been restored and are furnished with antiques reflecting early 19th century life in St. Charles. After the tour enjoy lunch at one of the many fine restaurants on Main Street.
After lunch you will have time to stroll down Main Street, a nine block Historic District filled with 80 restored buildings dating from 1790 to 1900. This cobblestone and gas lit street is known for its gift, antique and craft shops.
Tour # 5: Culinary Tour of St. Louis
Date/Time: Saturday, April 21, 2001, 9:00am to 2:00pm
Includes: Companion Baking Company, the Hill, Café de France, Ted Drewes Frozen Custard and Soulard Market.
Fee: $59
Enjoy an exciting day in St. Louis exploring the city's most popular and interesting culinary institutions.
First travel to the Companion Baking Company to sample their delicious breads, found in some of St. Louis' finest restaurants.
Next, visit the Hill, home of a large Italian community in the southwest part of the city. An important area since the 1800s, today it is home to many elegant and moderately priced Italian restaurants, entertainment, bocce alleys, groceries and bakeries. We'll stop at Volpi Sausage Company and Missouri Bakery.
Experience a 3 course lunch and the art of French cuisine at St. Louis' premier French restaurant, Café de France. For dessert, we will stop on historic Old Route 66 for a famous St. Louis tradition since 1929 Ted Drewes Frozen Custard. Known for specialty concrete shakes so thick you can turn them upside down.
A stop at Soulard Market will complete your visit.
