Briefly review the research supporting the benefits of enteral versus parenteral feeding and early versus late feeding.
Review the various placement techniques for surgical and non-surgically placed enteral feeding devices.
Provide a brief review of the research and findings with Immune enhancing enteral formulas (IEEF) for the surgical, trauma and medical ICU patients, and provide practical guidelines for the use of these formulas using an evidence-based medicine approach.
