Letter from the SAGES President:
Dear Colleague,
When you've been to one SAGES meeting, you are destined to return...and for good reasons. All of us have limited time for education and travel and when we do take time away from our practices, it had better be well spent.
If you come to a meeting where 90% of the attendees are in their seats at 7:30 AM and still in those same seats at 5PM something extraordinary is happening in that room. SAGES meetings are still like that.
We all need to learn more...and want to attend fewer meetings. This year for the first time SAGES will meet in tandem with the International Pediatric EndoSurgery Group. A joint exhibit will include the latest advances in endoscopic surgery for both adults and children.
We listen to our members and attendees. The 2000 Meeting of the Millennium will have concurrent postgraduate courses offering our registrants a choice of three contemporary themes.
The collegiality of SAGES is legendary. We work hard. We play hard. We learn. We laugh.
Join us at SAGES 2000...THE Meeting of the Millennium.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey H. Peters, M.D., FACS President
