Endoscopic Management of Colorectal Disease

Course Director: Steven Wexner, MD

Laboratory Directors: Michael Holzman, MD and Fredrick Brody, MD

Course Description: This one day course focuses on endoscopic management of colorectal disease and consists of a morning didactic session with illustrative lectures, video demonstration, question/answer sessions, and panel discussions. This is followed by a four hour afternoon porcine model animate laboratory with intensive hands-on training. The participants will perform a colon resection, as well as learn stapling and suturing techniques, colonoscopy, intraluminal colonoscopic stent placement, and anal and rectal ultrasound. Expert faculty will instruct participants in a 1:3 faculty:trainee ratio.

Your lab assignment and instructions will be included in your on-site Registration packet. Fee includes all program materials, continental breakfast, lunch, and breaks. Enrollment is limited to 90.
