SAGES 2000 Lunches
At SAGES lunch is not a sandwich...it's an educational feast!
One educational lunch is included in your SAGES Scientific Session Registration fee. Most of the lunches are on Saturday. However, two lunches have been scheduled for Friday. Select your first three choices using the boxed code next to the lunch description and indicate your order of preference on the Registration form, or check the box indicating you do not want to participate in lunch.
THURSDAY & FRIDAY
You have a three-hour block of time from about 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM to visit the exhibits, posters and Learning Center at your leisure. A lunch cafe is available in the exhibit hall for a modest fee. The exhibit center is an important adjunct to the technical education of a SAGES meeting. We invite you to see the world's most innovative products, publications and services for endoscopic surgery, ultrasound and minimally invasive techniques.
FRIDAY - March 31, 2000
#F1 SAGES Educator's Lunch
12:30-3:00 PM
Program Coordinator: Debbie Youngelman, MD
This luncheon is designed for all attendees who are involved with training surgical residents.
The 2000 Educator's Program will analyze the use of Tracking in residency programs. The program will feature a lively discussion between esteemed SAGES members, Program Directors, and members of our Sister Societies, moderated by Dr. Youngelman, on the structure and future of tracking. Dr. Youngelman will then open the discussion to the audience, who may express their opinions and experience with tracking through an interactive question and answer session. This program will provide an excellent forum for attendees to offer suggestions on how to begin integrating tracking into the current residency training structure.
Residents: We welcome attendance and comments from residents. Your opinions may add a fresh perspective on the topic.
#F2 Technology Lunch - OR of the Future Program
Coordinator: Steven Schwaitzberg, MD Incorporating speakers from multiple disciplines, the New Technology Panel Luncheon features a presentation by Robert Playter, Ph.D. from Boston Dynamics, Inc. on Surgical Simulations and a panel of prominent surgeons talking about New & Future OR Technology. SAGES acknowledges a generous contribution-in-kind from Stryker Endoscopy in support of this luncheon.
