This video highlights the various options in minimally invasive approaches to the tail of pancreas. Anatomic relations to this retroperitoneal organ have been highlighted.
In this video we have presented cases which include pancreatic tail agenesis, pancreatic necrosectomy for traumatic pancreatic injury, distal pancreatectomy with and without splenic preservation. Technical challenges, diagnostic dilemmas and tips to decrease complications have been described.
With this video we hope to highlight the various options available to surgeons in minimally invasive approaches to lesions in the tail of pancreas which entail surgical intervention.
