Laparoscopic resection of epiphrenic diverticula is a challenging procedure.  We report a case of a 63 year old female patient with a distal esophageal diverticulum, approximately 8cm from the gastroesophageal junction.  It was resected laparoscopically with an extended heller myotomy with Dor fundoplication.
