This is a video case report of a laparoscopic resection of an appendiceal mucocele with discussion. A sixty-nine year old woman was incidentally found to have a cystic right lower quadrant mass on imaging. A laparoscopic resection of a 6cm low-grade appendiceal mucinous neoplasm of undetermined malignant potential was confirmed by pathology. The patient was discharged home on post-operative day #3 and continues to do well. The optimal surgical approach to a pre-operatively diagnosed appendiceal mucocele has been debated. We conclude that the laparoscopic approach is both feasible and safe. However, long-term follow up is still required.
