This was a 36 year-old woman who presented to our clinic complaining of dyspepsia for 1 year. During her preoperative evaluation chest x-ray, barium swallow, esophagogastroduodenoscopy, barium enema, CT-scan of the chest and abdomen, and MRI were performed. A left Bochdalek hernia was diagnosed. Decision was made to perform a laparoscopic repair of the Bochdalek hernia with mesh. The patient recovered uneventfully, and she was discharged home on postoperative day 7. At 1 year follow up she reported resolution of symptoms.
