Intestinal Obstruction in a Virgin Abdomen from an Anomalous Congenital Band

This is a case report of a 30 year old female with a virgin abdomen who presented with intestinal obstruction and underwent diagnostic laparoscopy. She was found to have an anomalous congenital band entrapping the distal ileum, as well as an incidental Meckel's diverticulum 5cm from the transition point. A band ligation and Meckel's diverticulectomy were performed and patient had an uneventful recovery.
