Adjustable Gastric Band Converted to Sleeve Gastrectomy

Kibwe A Weaver, MD, Philip Schauer, MD. Cleveland Clinic

This is a video representing a 63 year old patient. He had an adjustable gastric band placed with rather poor weight loss. After 3 years he began to suffer from dysphagia and nausea. Upon examination he was seen to have prolapsed. Despite having the fluid removed he did not improve. He presented to us requesting removal of the band and conversion to a sleeve gastrectomy. Our video shows this procedure.
