The Division of General Surgery at the University of Vermont College of Medicine in alliance with Fletcher Allen Health Care is seeking a BC/BE General Surgeon to join the full-time faculty. The position entails providing general surgical services to the patient population served by our partner community medical center, Central Vermont Medical Center (CVMC). CVMC has a reputation of clinical excellence with a staff that is deeply rooted in the community. This position offers the unique opportunity to work in a community setting while having an active affiliation with Vermont’s only academic medical center as a member of its physician practice, the University of Vermont Medical Group.

How to Apply

The successful applicant must have completed an RRC accredited general surgery residency and be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Vermont and eligible to work in the United States. Duties include educational responsibilities for medical students and general surgery residents at UVM. This is a full-time, 12-month, salaried position with attending staff privileges at Central Vermont Medical Center. CVMC includes a 75 bed medical center, 18 community-based medical group practices and Woodridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Home. Academic appointment at the University of Vermont will be in the Clinical Scholar Pathway at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, commensurate with the candidate’s background and experience.
