The University of Pittsburgh Physicians of the University of Pittsburgh is seeking applications for a position in the Division of Minimally Invasive Bariatric and General Surgery at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will be a General Surgeon who has completed a fellowship in Bariatric Surgery, to support the growth and goals of an academic surgical program. We seek an outstanding candidate who has a demonstrated track record of clinical excellence as well as early / initial academic productivity. The clinical emphasis of the position will include both advanced and minimally invasive bariatric surgery as well as elective and acute care general surgery.
The applicant must have completed a fellowship in Bariatric surgery be Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Surgery. A commitment to teaching, institutional leadership and advocacy is necessary. The candidate must be eligible for a Pennsylvania medical license.
