The Department of Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine of the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a general/gastrointestinal surgeon position. Preference will be given to candidates with fellowship training in minimally invasive surgery. Responsibilities include in- and out-patient care of general and gastrointestinal surgery patients; participation in Penn-based teaching activities; and administrative duties as assigned by the Chair of Surgery. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. They must also be certified by the American Board of Surgery or eligible for such certification.
The successful candidate will practice at Pennsylvania Hospital, the nation’s oldest hospital and a fully affiliated member of the University of Pennsylvania Health System. He or she will receive salary and benefits through the Penn staff appointment Health System Clinician and will also receive an unsalaried clinical faculty appointment at an appropriate rank.
