The Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC is recruiting for a Laparoscopic/GI Surgeon at the Assistant Professor level, within the Division of Gastrointestinal and Laparoscopic Surgery. The clinical and academic practice is located in a newly opened digestive-diseased based hospital. MUSC has ranked in the U.S. News & World Report top 20 Hospitals for GI Diseases for the past 15 years. This faculty position will have shared clinical responsibilities at the Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center. The successful candidate is expected to be a board certified surgeon with clinical training in Laparoscopic/GI Surgery, fellowship training in hepato-biliary surgery of at least two years duration, and a graduate degree in public health. Demonstrated medical student and resident teaching excellence and scholarly interests demonstrated by substantive publications in the surgical literature are expected.
