ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

• SCHEDULE and CALL – Enjoy 2 days of clinic per week & Generous OR Block time with availability at other times when needed. Call and coverage will be shared by 2 General Surgeons on rotating weeks, with locums provided 10 weekends per year.
• SURGERY COMPLEX – Operate in 1 of the 3 integrated Laparoscopic Suites or 2 separate Endosuites in WHCs state-of-the-art Surgery Complex where Specialists and General Surgeons perform over 1,600 surgical procedures annually. Average case volume per General Surgeon is 425 cases per year, 65% of which is endoscopy.
• BREAD N BUTTER GENERAL SURGERY – Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, Colectomy, Splenectomy, Appendectomies and Hernia Repair; Endoscopy; Stereotactic, Excisional and In-Office Ultrasound Guided Breast Biopsy; Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy; Hemorrhoid Evaluation and Therapy; Thyroid Biopsies and Surgery; & Skin Lesion Removal.

This long-standing surgery residency program is actively expanding and recruiting its faculty, with its integration into a new LCME-accredited medical school. Currently, we are seeking a Bariatric Program Coordinator to join our astonishing team. In this position, you will direct the daily clinical operations of our Bariatric Program to ensure the continuous maintenance of optimal patient flow and the cost-effective delivery of high-quality care. This involves managing and evaluating the performance of bariatric team members, holding meetings to review patient progress as well as operational changes, helping approve patient throughputs, and managing data in the ACS BSCN database or a similar database.

On the strategic end, you will analyze operations and relevant data to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend ways to enhance program performance during planning sessions. This will often require working closely with other departments to expand and integrate program services.

Additional responsibilities include coordinating new patient seminars, support group sessions and preoperative classes; conducting continuing education sessions for staff; assisting bariatric team members with research efforts; and managing program accreditation activities.

To qualify, you must have a bachelor’s degree in an applicable field; NP, PA, RN or RD licensure; and previous experience managing a similar program, division or department. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is also required.
