Course Description:

Laparoscopic colectomy increasingly plays an expanding role in the surgical treatment of colon and rectal disease. This course explores the evidence for applying laparoscopic techniques to the surgical management of both benign and malignant diseases of the colon and rectum. The colon course has been designed to provide participants with
evidence based analysis of laparoscopic approaches to colon cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulitis and rectal prolapse. New technologies and management paradigms that may represent the future of colon and rectal surgery will be highlighted.
